bird boy

My latest assignment in my advanced class was a free word association. The dadaist would do this to spark creativity. We drew three random words from a hat and had to put them all together in one photo. My words: black, bird boy, and bones. This was a huge stretch for me. How do you put all these together and have it make sense? The result is something totally out of my comfort zone, but that's how you grow, right? Thanks to my darling husband for being so patient with me and for being my model. (Don't worry, his legs aren't really THAT skinny.)

loss

In my advanced photography class we were asked to interpret loss. My first thought to this was loss of a loved one, death and other tragedy. I'm not a person who likes to create deep or dark photography. Some are able to convey those messages very well and without making them cheesy, corny or too predictable. I don't feel I'm one of those people. So, I decided interpret it on a . . . lighter note.
